EIC Scaling Club Members in the Spotlight
A member of the Agri & Food tech market group, ALGAENERGY develops and commercialises microalgae-based biosolutions for agriculture. Their mission is to harness microalgae biotechnology to create biological products that can replace chemical inputs, support the environment and improve quality of life.
Estonian company Elcogen have designed solid oxide cells capable of dual-mode operation: power generation and hydrogen production within the same unit. Operating in fuel cell mode, their cells can generate electricity with higher efficiency than combustion engines and zero emissions when fueled by pure hydrogen.
Cellply develops analytical technologies designed to improve how researchers and biopharmaceutical companies study immune cells during the development of immunotherapies and cell-based treatments. These therapies require highly precise quality control due to their biological complexity and variability.
ENERGYNEST is a Norwegian company that builds thermal energy storage systems for factories. Its technology is designed for production sites where steam or thermal oil is part of everyday manufacturing and where cleaner energy often has to fit around equipment already in place.
German company Hydrogenious chemically binds hydrogen to a liquid organic carrier, so it can be pumped, stored and shipped at room temperature and pressure, using much of the same infrastructure that already moves diesel and other liquid fuels.
Today, Europe’s power grid is undergoing a digital overhaul. As a result, keeping the lights on now depends just as much on software as it does on physical infrastructure.
This article highlights six EIC Scaling Club members strengthening grid resilience: four cybersecurity companies from the Digital Security & Trust group building software and threat intelligence to protect grid operations, alongside two Renewable Energies members improving how those grids are used.
In this article, four investors share what they look for once companies move beyond early-stage validation: from operational readiness and funding architecture to market strength, fundraising discipline and the relationship after investment.
AstraZeneca BioVentureHub and Medtronic co-host the EIC Scaling Club HealthTech Investment Day
The event brought together European HealthTech and biotech scale-ups, investors and industry experts for pitches and matchmaking focused on accelerating innovation and creating new partnerships.
This milestone reflects strong confidence from new and existing international investors in the company’s technology, commercial progress and long-term vision to strengthen Europe’s sovereign access to space.
The space company building standardized, software-flexible satellites and a streamlined constellations-as-a-service model has raised 205 million US dollars (approx. 178.75 million euros) in a round co-led by Riot Ventures and Atreides Management.
