At last month's EIC Scaling Club Ignition Forum, we had the chance to sit down with Maria Zubeldia, Head of the Entrepreneurship Centre at the Saïd Business School at Oxford University, and better understand her role in the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
We were particularly keen to talk to Maria, as she chairs the EIC Scaling Club Council, which oversees the project's operations and contributes to the achievement of its strategic objectives.
As an experienced founder with two startups under her belt, an MBA holder from Oxford Brookes University, and experience in publishing, banking, B2B, public sector, and more, Zubeldia explains that her goal is simple yet complex – it's to help fulfill students' entrepreneurial ambitions. Easier said than done.
Zubeldia and the Saïd Business School take a broad view of entrepreneurship and aim first and foremost to equip their students with the tools necessary to thrive in today's innovation landscape.
She shares her view of the need for entrepreneurial education for the benefit of society at large, as well as to ensure Europe's competitiveness at a global level, particularly as new technologies emerge – a goal that is shared by the EIC Scaling Club.
See our full interview with Maria Zubeldia in the video below, or visit our YouTube channel (and enjoy our other videos while you're there!).
