Hadrian Security article

Meet Hadrian, a pioneering cybersecurity scale-up from the Netherlands – and a member of the EIC Scaling Club Digital Security and Trust Market group – that's transforming and modernising how organisations approach digital security. Hadrian's continuous and adaptive discovery process, coupled with advanced AI-driven vulnerability assessment and penetration testing puts it at the cutting edge of offensive security.

Instead of relying on scheduled, periodic testing typical of more traditional practices, their platform provides continuous, automated security validation that can run tests on thousands of digital assets simultaneously. This event-based scanning methodology allows organizations to maintain real-time awareness of their entire attack surface infrastructure, identifying vulnerabilities before malicious actors can exploit them.

Innovating since they were teenagers

In 2009, founders Rogier Fischer and Olivier Beg met on an online forum when they were just 13 years old. United by their shared fascination with "breaking things that were not supposed to be broken," the two young hackers quickly formed a partnership that would shape their future careers.

As white-hat hackers, Fischer and Beg worked with numerous Dutch financial institutions and international technology companies, helping them identify and address security vulnerabilities. Their hands-on experience in the field led to a crucial realization: to truly enhance corporate security at scale, an autonomous platform was needed – one that could continuously identify and test digital assets while simulating potential attack paths of cybercriminals.

Technology that evolves

Hadrian's platform stands out through its comprehensive integration of multiple security technologies by combining attack surface discovery, automated penetration testing, threat exposure management, and more in a cloud-based platform. As such, Hadrian offers a unique solution that's constantly updated and improved by their in-house hacker team.

The platform's approach is founded on a crucial principle: defensive security should be validated by offensive security. This philosophy allows Hadrian to reveal the targets and methods that could be used in real-world data breaches, providing organizations with actionable insights to strengthen their security.

Hadrian's technology has found application across various industries, from manufacturing and energy to finance.

What sets Hadrian apart is its AI-powered approach to security testing. Hadrian's automated platform can discover and validate risks completely autonomously, making security teams more efficient and effective in their work, reserving manual intervention for extraordinary cases.

Looking to the future

Cyber threats are on the rise, and as they continue to evolve and multiply, Hadrian's mission to “deliver real-time Exposure Management from the hacker's perspective” becomes increasingly crucial. The company's innovative approach to security testing represents a significant step forward in how organizations can protect their digital assets.

By automating offensive security practices, Hadrian isn't just making security teams faster and more scalable – they're fundamentally changing how organizations understand and address their security risks. As part of the EIC Scaling Club, Hadrian is well-positioned to continue pushing the boundaries of cybersecurity innovation, helping companies worldwide become harder to hack through continuous, comprehensive security validation.

By tapping into the Scaling Club’s network and support in fundraising assistance, leadership mentoring, corporate partnerships, and media visibility, this Dutch company seeks to accelerate its mission of revolutionizing cybersecurity.
