In a little over a month, we'll be hosting the Ignition Forum, the first physical gathering exclusive to EIC Scaling Club Members and select guests in a series of events that we will organise as part of our mission.

We've been working hard behind the scenes, selecting fast-growing, impactful European deep tech scale-ups in a number of carefully predefined market sector opportunities, to connect them with the best and brightest investors, corporate innovators, mentors, media representatives and other industry stakeholders.

More news on that later, but today we'd like to highlight the speakers who've kindly agreed to join us in kicking off the EIC Scaling Club in Belgium on the 9th and 10th of April:

Here's the list of speakers:

  • Jean-David Malo - Director of EISMEA, the European Commission’s executive agency for the European Innovation Council (EIC) and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
  • Anna Panagopoulou - Director of ‘ERA & Innovation’ at the Research and Innovation Directorate General of the European Commission.
  • Thomas Dermine - State Secretary of Science Policy, Recovery Program & Strategic Investments for the Belgian Federal Government.
  • Maria Zubeldia - Executive Director of the Entrepreneurship Centre at Said Business School, University of Oxford.
  • Jo De Boeck - Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer, imec.
  • Erik Luts - Chief Innovation Officer and member of the Executive Committee of the KBC group.
  • Marie Wall - Responsible for policy to strengthen innovative startups and scaleups, in all areas from social innovation to deep tech, at the Swedish Ministry of Climate and Enterprise.
  • Jennifer L. Schenker - Award-winning journalist and currently founder and editor-in-chief of The Innovator, a global publication that puts technology news into context for business.
  • Robin Wauters - A seasoned technology journalist, analyst, keynote speaker and event curator, as well as the founding editor of Tech.eu, the premier source of European tech news, data analysis and market intelligence.
